    Sept. 15
    Charity Thompson, 21, of Newton pleaded guilty to the third degree crime of burglary.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 10.

    Thompson admitted to committing burglary by entering the apartment of the victim without his consent and taking a 32 inch flat screen TV.

    The matter was investigated by the Newton Police Department.

    Aixa Rivera, 48, of Hoboken, New Jersey, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft and two counts of use of a false driver’s license.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 24.

    Rivera admitted that on Aug. 14, 2013, in Sparta she obtained more than $500 from the Wells Fargo Bank with the use of a credit card that did not belong to her and a false driver’s license in the name of the credit card holder.

    She also admitted attempting to engage in the same conduct on Aug. 19, 2013 at the Wells Fargo Bank in Hamburg.

    The matters were investigated by the Sparta and Hamburg Police Departments.

    Sept. 17
    Michael A. Venditte, 43, of Lafayette, pleaded guilty to failure to register under Megan’s Law, a fourth degree crime.

    Venditte was sentenced to one year of probation.

    Sept. 19
    Erika DeGraw, 29, of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to one year of probation, and mandatory fines and penalties.

    DeGraw admitted that on Feb. 22, in the Township of Sparta she was in possession of Heroin during a routine traffic stop.

    Jason Achoe, 35, of Sparta, was sentenced to time served, $500 of restitution to the victim and $250 in court fines and fees.

    Achoe pleaded guilty on June 13, to fourth-degree theft by deception.

    While working at the Sparta Shell Station the defendant would pocket cash received for gas and write fake receipts to a different charge account at the station.

    The scheme was discovered when the company being wrongly charged discovered their bill was unusually large, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.

    Daniel Daub, 50, of Montague, was sentenced to one year of probation with credit for time served. He must also pay $355 in court fines and fees.

    Daub pleaded guilty on June 30, to third-degree promoting prostitution.

    Earlier this year Daub was operating a prostitution service within his Montague residence, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.

    William McMickle, 55, of Glenwood, NJ, was sentenced to nine years in the New Jersey State Prison.

    He pleaded guilty on April 3, to endangering the welfare of a child, a second degree crime.

    Sept. 26
    Renaldo L. Paduani, 41, of Montague, was sentenced to fifteen months in state prison, $155 in fines and $4,700 in restitution.

    Paduani pleaded guilty on Aug. 12 to the fourth degree crime of trespass of a dwelling.

    He entered a home in Montague on Dec. 20, 2012. The matter was investigated by the New Jersey State Police.
