Vernon students plan Miracle Minute fundraiser

At this Friday’s home football game against Sparta, two Vernon Township High School seniors will bring something new to the halftime show.

Jack Grosser and Sarah Waleck will conduct a Miracle Minute Fundraiser to collect as much money as possible in a one-minute countdown to help bring Halloween to the children in the hospital as part of their DECA Chapter Project.

The funds will be donated to the Goryeb Children's Hospital and used to buy coloring books, small toys, Halloween bags and other goodies for the patients at Goryeb. The students say there is no amount too large or too small, as each penny counts when it comes to helping children with cancer. As a side note, the fundraiser will be filmed as it will be featured in a video that the students are sending to the children.

Donations of Halloween toys, coloring books, crayons or goodie bags will be accepted instead of or in addition to the Miracle Minute fundraiser. Fans are encouraged to bring these items to the game, but candy will not be accepted.

There will be many DECA students in orange shirts collecting the funds.
