Marilyn E. Kirk

Marilyn E. Kirk, the widow of Robert E., who predeceased her in 2007, passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2014. She was 78.

Born in Warwick, N.Y., the daughter of William H. and Emma (Green) Elwood, she was a 54-year resident of West Milford.

Mrs. Kirk had been a member of the Apshawa Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, Hillcrest Seniors and an election poll worker.

Surviving are two sons, Robert W. and his wife Carolyn of West Milford, Kenneth of Arizona, a daughter, Patricia Lee of Vernon, two brothers, William Elwood of New York and Dennis Elwood of Texas, two sisters, Wilma Kruger of Goshen, N.Y., and Janice Gardape of New York, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visiting will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, West Milford. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, N.Y.
