Vernon tops High Point in football

Vernon Township High School defeated High Point Regional High School in varsity football on Thursday, October 2, 2014. The final score was 27-7. The game took place at Vernon Township High School in Glenwood, New Jersey.
VERNON — Tyler Soltes scored two touchdowns, leading Venon to a 27-7 victory over High Point on Thursday night.
Brandon Lockhart also returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown. Mike Stefkoivch scored on a 4-yard run in the second quarter.
Soltes completed four passes for 54 yards and ran the ball four times for 24 yards to go along with the two scores. Stefkovich also had 84 yards and Luke Venskus ran for 85 yards.
