Vernon Historical Society plans annual fundraiser at The Brownstone

    The Brownstone will cater the Nov. 1 all-you-can-eat Beefsteak Dinner and Auction held by the Vernon Township Historical Society at St. Francis de Sales Church on Route 517 in Vernon at 6 p.m.

    While this is the Society’s biggest fundraising event of the year, the cost is kept at just $35 to makem it affordable. Tickets are now on sale. Call 973-764-6545 or go to Coming Events page at www.vernonhistoricalsociety.com for more information.

    The four-course, all-you-can-eat beefsteak dinner includes antipastos with assorted cheeses and meats, salad, bread and butter, pasta with marinara sauce, extremely tender beefsteak, french fries, coffee, tea, beverages, and dessert. This is a wonderful meal and no one will go home hungry.

    There are more than 50 auction items, dozens of free door prizes, and music by a deejay. As the Historical Society’s biggest fundraiser of the year, all proceeds go toward the society’s many free educational programs and events for the public.
