A scene from the rodeo portion of Mountain Creek’s first ever Country Fest and Rodeo held last weekend in the VIP parking area in front of the resort’s Red Tail Lodge.

Food offerings were planned to include pulled pork, corn on the cob, whole calves, chicken, rabbit and lamb cooked in a fire pit on the main lawn.
VERNON — Clear blue skies greeted visitors to the first ever Country Fest and Rodeo held at Mountain Creek last weekend.
For many visitors the rodeo segment of the event was the most inviting as the bleachers around the corral were filled.
Music, dancing and a smorgasbord of food and beers were available as were a wide variety of rides and attractions for the children.
