    Sept. 5
    Christopher J. Robillard, 31, of Stanhope, was sentenced to three years state prison, 312 days of credit for time served and $2,380 in fines.

    He pleaded guilty on April 28 to the third degree crimes of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and accomplice liability for the distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

    He admitted to possessing heroin, on his person, during his arrest on an outstanding warrant on Jan. 18 in Stanhope. He also admitted to distributing heroin to his codefendant, William M. Stevenfield, on the behalf of his other codefendant, Angela Buffardi, on Oct. 30, 2013 in Stanhope.

    Becky Charbonneau, 30, of Succasunna was sentenced to two years of probation, substance abuse treatment and $1,205 in fines.

    She pleaded guilty on June 23 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted to possessing five bags of heroin on Feb. 28 in Newton.

    The matter was investigated by members of the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.

    Sept. 8
    Kelvin V. Fridy, Jr., 27, of Irvington, and Freddie Hamilton, 25, of Union both pleaded guilty to fourth-degree Criminal Attempt Theft.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 7.

    In June the co-defendants broke into an abandoned house in Hopatcong and told police they were there to inspect the home for the bank. Police arrived as they were trying to steal appliances from house.

    Raymond W. Ammacher, 34, of Franklin, pleaded guilty to third-degree Burglary.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 24.

    The defendant admitted to breaking into his Franklin neighbor’s home in July and taking prescription medication from the home.

    Anna K. Phillips, 27, of Rutherford, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree Assault by Auto and Driving while intoxicated.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 5.

    The matter was investigated by the Sparta Township Police Department.

    Amarilis Torres, 28, of Vernon, pleaded guilty to the second degree crime of Endangering the Welfare of a child and to the motor vehicle offense of Driving While Suspended.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 3.

    Torres admitted to driving with an infant in her car to Paterson in order to obtain heroin and then driving back to Vernon on June 13.

    The matter was investigated by the Vernon Police Department.

    Amanda E. Palmer, 32, of Hopatcong, pleaded guilty to third-degree theft.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 7.

    Palmer took various items of jewelry from the Hampton home she was renting a room in and later sold the jewelry at a pawn shop.

    Sept. 15
    Stephen P. Pollack, 25, of Vernon, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance – Heroin and Suboxone.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 24.

    In August, the Vernon Police Department received a report that the defendant was in possession of heroin. Police were dispatched and located the defendant who admitted to the officer that he had heroin on his person. He was subsequently found to also have suboxone on his person without a prescription.
