Vernon football falls to 0-2

VERNON — Parsippany Hills High School defeated Vernon Township High School in varsity football on Friday, 31-8.
The evening also doubled as Vernon's Homecoming celebration.
The Vikings (0-2) scored their only points in the fourth quarter on an 11-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Soltes to Brandon Lockhart. Soltes connected with Luke Venskus on the two-point conversion.
Parsippany Hills quarterback Kevin Nikiel threw two touchdown passes.
