Sussex Council approves improvement projects

    The Sussex Borough Council voted unanimously to reduce the Willow Street Section II contract amount by $13,070 with Bob Viersma & Sons, Inc., on Sept. 16. It was found that a few things did not need to be done.

    Originally, the Council had approved an expenditure of $214,485 on July 24.

    The council also voted unanimously to award $64,824.00 to Diamond Construction of Brick, N.J., in order to improve the sidewalks of Newton Avenue.

    Finally, the council unanimously voted to award $1,955 to Lynch Seal Coating to complete all line striping, stenciling and curb painting on Main Street.
