Urban Tarzan to showcase raptors and reptiles at Oktoberfest

| 16 Sep 2014 | 02:15

Professional exotic animal wrangler Urban Tarzan will entertain and educate guests at the 29th annual Oktoberfest on Sept. 20 and 21 and the first ever Mountain Rodeo Sept. 27 and 28.

Urban Tarzan will host his Wildlife Patrol Show at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. both weekends where he will showcase birds of prey such as a golden eagle and red tail hawk, as well as exotic reptiles like one of the largest reticulated pythons in captivity, an African python and crocodile monitor.

The show is free for guests with a general admission ticket and will be staged near the bottom of the Cabriolet Gondola at the base of the mountain.

With more than 20 years of experience, Urban Tarzan is one of the world’s most notable animal wranglers. He has worked with Steve Irwin, had his own show broadcasted worldwide, has been invited to talk shows like Conan O’ Brien and has had his animals featured in commercials, music videos and films.

In addition to his work with celebrities and the media, Urban Tarzan has often been called upon by the Department of Fish & Wildlife in numerous states to assist with the rescue and relocation of animals, sometimes for situations as dangerous as a loose cobra.

The purpose of the program at Oktoberfest and the Mountain Rodeo is to entertain guests and provide them with a rare close-up view of wild animals while educating them on the important role animals play within the world’s varying ecosystems.
