Gregory Willis Compton

Gregory Willis Compton, 47, died Wednesday September 10, 2014 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa. Mr. Compton, son of Willis C. and Linda (Simons) Compton was born in Port Jervis, N.Y., on Sept. 18, 1966. Mr. Compton grew up in Unionville, N.Y., and has resided in Middletown, Pa., for the past 30 years.

Mr. Compton was an electronic technician and had worked for Flight Systems in York, Pa., and Olmsted Instrument Co. in Middletown, Pa., He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Unionville, N.Y. and was attending Good Tidings Assembly of God Church in Middletown, Pa.

Mr. Compton was predeceased by his father, Willis C. Compton in 2003 and is survived by his mother Linda S. Compton of Unionville, N.Y.; brother, David A. Compton & his wife, Amy, of Wantage Twp, N.J., and a niece and nephew, Emily and Matthew Compton.

Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home 27 Third St. Sussex, N.J. Cremation will be private. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Unionville Main St. Unionville, NY 10988 with Pastor Timothy Chiarot Officiating.
