A Stockholm man faces charges after Vernon Township police compoleted a two-month-long narcotics investigation.

Colin Mackey, 21, was charged on Tuesday with first degree distribution of LSD.

Police said the investigation, which was conducted with the assistance of the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force, also resulted in the arrest of two other individuals for distribution of LSD over the last month. This investigation was prompted as a result of several arrests made by the Vernon police throughout the summer involving the use of hallucinogens such as 25i, and LSD. 25i is a LSD-like designer drug and fairly new, which produces similar effects as LSD, police said. LSD is a drug that causes hallucinations, which are profound distortions in a person’s perception of reality, authorities said. Under the influence of hallucinogens, people see images, hear sounds, and feel sensations that seem real but are not.

Mackey was transported to the Sussex County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
