VERNON — Winding down the summer season with friends and neighbors is a long time tradition for the Barry Lakes community, as it was on Sunday.
Although the weather was questionable, the party went on despite two passing thunderstorms at 3 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. and the show in fact continued into the evening.
It was a relaxing day of swimming, fishing, and boating along with a well-rounded menu courtesy of recreation director Mary Ferreri.
