    Tyler S. Ebert of Vernon has been accepted to Marywood University in Scranton, Pa., and has been selected to receive a Dean's Scholarship award.

    Ebert will major in architecture and environmental design. He is the sone of Celeste and Ronnie Ebert of Vernon.

    Ansley Stuart of Sussex Borough was named to the dean's list at the University of Rhode Island.

    To be included on the dean's list, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average.

    Ashley B. Ebert of Vernon has received her New Jersey state cosmetology license. She is a 2014 graduate of Vernon Township High School and Sussex county Technical School where she studied to become a cosmetologist. In the fall, she will attend Artistic Academy Beauty School in Morris Plains to further her education in Esthetics & Make-Up program.

    She is the daughter of Celeste and Ronnie Ebert of Vernon.

    Alexandra Altomare of Sussex Borough will attend the University of Dayton.

    The University welcomed about 2,200 first-year students when classes started Aug. 27.

    Jenna Harper of Glenwood served as an orientation weekend leader at Alvernia University during the weekend of Aug. 21-24.

    Harper is a Occupational Therapy major at Alvernia and a Vernon Township High School graduate.

    An Orientation Weekend Leader (OWL) or Orientation Assistant (OA) is a current Alvernia University student who plays an integral role in New Student Orientation. The main role of all OWLs and OAs is to assist in making new students feel welcome. OWLs and OAs develop leadership skills and meet new people. The program is competitive, and involves a application process, in-person interviews, good academic standing, and training.

    Patrick Logan of Sussex Borough graduated Magna Cum Laude with a masters in Finance from Iona University, located in New Rochelle, N.Y.

    Logan is a 2009 graduate from Vernon Township High School and is presently employed as an accountant for Oppenheimer and Company, located in NYC.

    Laura Cariati was named to the dean's list at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

    She will enter her junior year as a nursing major this fall. Students must have a 3.5 or better GPA to be named to the dean's list.

    Stefanie J. Clark, a 2013 graduate of High Point High School, completed her freshman year at Ball State University on the dean's honor list for maintaining a minimum 3.5 GPA per semester. Clark is majoring in Creative Writing with a minor in Japanese.

    Deanne M. Belkin of Ogdensburg was named to the dean's list at John Jay College of Criminal Justice for the spring 2014 semester.
