Elks Lodge plans redneck olympics

    The Sussex Elks Lodge No. 2288 will hold a redneck olymhicks on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the lodge, located at 152 Lewisburg road in Sussex.

    The rain date will be Oct. 5, starting at 11 a.m.

    Games will included such as a truck pull, hubcap fling, plunger race, breakin' stuff, toilet filling, hay-bale Chucking, corn hole toss, cigarette butt flicking, a chicken in every pot, beer can hunt, toilet seat horseshoes and much more. People are invited to form teams up to ten people, ages 16 and above.

    Registration will be $10 per person. Activities will be available for younger kids at $5 a child. For those who just want to come and watch, there will be a $2 admission fee,

    The Road Kill Cafe will have a variety of "back-country vittles" for purchase. A trophy will be awarded for teams, so register early to secure a spot.
