Straus News freelance reporter and photographer John Church of Ogdensburg was awarded second place in the photography contest Color/Places category in the Adult Advanced Amateur Division at the New Jersey State Fair — Sussex County Farm and Horse Show.
The division is for 18 years and older and has won previous shows or has had professional training or has sold some work (not as primary income).
The subject was a food stand with the Ferris wheel taken at dusk during the 2012 fair.
