    Richard Crowell, 77, of Franklin died Monday, Aug. 11 at Andover Subacute and RehabCenter.

    Born to Webster and Lillian Crowell in Frankford Twp., he lived in Sussex, before moving to Franklin, 50 years ago.

    Richard served with the United States Army and then worked as a machinist for Ames Rubber Manufacturing in Hamburg for many years retiring in 1998. He took great joy in bowling, fishing and hunting.

    Richard was the beloved husband for 50 years of Mary Crowell(nee Cseh) of Franklin. Devoted father of Jeff Jacobus of Hamburg, Kim Nolan of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Dean Crowell of Hamburg. Loving grandfather of David, Adam, Zachary, Mikaela and Travis. Great grandfather of Makenzie. Also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

    The family received their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin on Thursday, Aug. 14. Funeral service commenced at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
