Kimberly Decker appointed Acting Zoning Officer

    VERNON — As of Aug. 29, current Zoning Officer for Vernon Township, Craig Roland will be retiring after a 28 year tenure. While the township recruits and hires an new Zoning Officer the Town Council has appointed, Kimberly Decker as the Acting Zoning Officer.

    Decker will be acting as a full-time, fill-in while the township advertises and interviews for a permanent hire. She is a licensed zoning official as she has received her land use administration and enforcement certification in order.

    “We have worked with her (Decker) and she is a well-qualified and lovely person.” stated Council Member Patrick Rizzuto, “I’m glad we are working in our own ranks.”
