Daniel Bounds, 22, of Warwick, N.Y., ws charged with DWI, consuming alcoholic beverages inside a vehicle and having an open container after police responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Highway 517 and Sandhill Road.

Police said his vehicle was found off the roadway in a farm field.

Aug. 2
Stephen Romano, 52, of Ridgfield Park was charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to Lake Wallkill for report of an intoxicated driver.

Police said witnesses observed a male operating a vehicle erratically and stopped him and took his keys. Police said Romano also was found to be in possession of a pipe used for smoking crack cocaine.

Aug. 5
Dana L. Mack was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, carless driving and failure to maintain line after police were summoned to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Sandhill Road.

Police said a criminal complaint was issued for DWI with minors in the vehicle, resulting in a charge of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said the two juveniles were found in the rear passenger seat and Mack was driving with a suspended license. Police also said Mack had a $750 traffic warrant out of Vernon Township.

She was sent to the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility after being unable to post $20,000 bail with a 10 percent option. Both children were handed over to their father.
