Lakeland Pools would like to thank all who donated to their Second Annual Toy Drive in Memory of Harrison Shauger.

Harrison was born on Aug. 2, 2006 with a Congenital Heart Defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot. Harrison sadly lost his battle with heart disease on March 26, 2013 after multiple surgeries and cardiac catheterizations, he was 6 years old.

Last year the toy drive took in a total of 273 toys for ages newborn to teens and this year 663 toys were collected. The toys were donated to the Pediatric Center for Heart Disease in Hackensack on Aug. 1 to honor Harrison's birthday. Harrison made frequent visits to this office for checkups and the office staff would always send him home with a toy after each visit.

The Shauger family would like to continue putting smiles on these precious children who battle heart disease everyday by holding these drives every year.

A special thank you to those who helped make this toy drive such a huge success by collecting toys at their locations or taking monetary donations to purchase new toys. They include Vernon Valley Karate, Sussex United Methodist Church, Baleville Congregational Christian Church, Steven Willand Inc, and The Sparta Barber and Style Shop.
