Local Soccer Players Win Big at National Tournament

Jaimi Araujo of Sussex and Julia Flake of Sparta, members of the Players Development Academy U14 soccer team out of Somerset, N.J., traveled to Chicago Aug. 7 to play in the Eclipse Cup, a high level national soccer tournament.

The PDA Splash went 5-0 on the weekend, beating the Wisconsin State Champions, the Georgia State Champions and the Ohio State Champions to bring home the Eclipse Cup.

Julia is a goalie on the team and Jaimi is a forward.

The PDA Splash play in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), the top league in the country for girls soccer. They are four time NJ State Champions, Region 1 Champions and went undefeated in pre-ECNL play this past Spring. Look for them to compete for a national championship next summer.

Players Development Academy has been ranked the number one club in the country for three of the past five years.
