Celtic rock band Emish will close the Friends of High Point Summer Concert Series on Saturday, Aug. 16, at High Point State Park from 6 until 8 p.m. on the beach at Lake Marcia.

Emish, voted "Best Band in the Hudson Valley," has "forged their own Americana folk sound by colliding a background of Irish, rock, and folk influences."

Admission to the summer concert series at High Point State Park is free, but a suggested donation of $5 or more per adult is appreciated. Bring your own blankets and chairs. Picnicking is encouraged, but alcohol is prohibited. Little Lulu's concession stand will be open. In the event of rain, the concert will take place in the High Point State Park Interpretive Center. Park entrance fees apply before 4 p.m.
