Fresh off the heels of a performance at River Jam Music Fest in Lackawaxen, PA., Big Barn Music recording artist Rob Cannillo is scheduled to make two upcoming appearances at Summer Jam 14 in Vernon on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 12:45 p.m. and to the Greenwood Lake Summer Concert Series on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Cannillo, whose gritty vocals and distinctive melodies speak from the heart, has captured audiences throughout the Northeast U.S. with his soulful, original compositions. Cannillo will be giving a solo performance at Summer Jam 14 at RickeyFarm at 442 Route 94 in Vernon. Summer Jam 14 begins at noon.

Cannillo, whose spirited arrangements have been described by WPDH DJ Robyn Taylor as “magic” and by former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle as “killer,” burst onto the Hudson Valley, N.Y. entertainment scene in the late 1990s and quickly became one of the area’s premier artists. Rob’s melodies, which include What Life Can Be, Poets & Prophets, and Sara, evoke the sounds of other popular indie/Americana artists such as The Avett Brothers, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Ray LaMontagne, The Lumineers, and Amos Lee.

Cannillo will also be appearing at the Greenwood Lake Summer Concert Series on Saturday, Aug. 9. Cannillo will be opening for a Ray Charles tribute band called Forever Ray.
