Vernon to host National Night Out

    The Vernon Township Police Department, civic groups and other agencies from througout the area will host the township's fourth annual National Night out on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Maple Grange Park from 7-9 p.m.

    The event will be sponsored by Vernon Township. Vernon Township Police Department, Vernon PAL, Sussex County CrimeStoppers and the Vernon Coalition to be Drug Free.

    The night will include food and drinks (while supplies last), a giant double slide, fun games, a DJ and more. Bring a blanket or chair and for an outdoor movie under the stars — “E.T.” — beginning around 9 p.m.

    National Night Out takes place in thousands of communities nationwide on the first Tuesday of each August.
