Horseshoes to return to state fair

AUGUSTA — Backyard enthusiasts, as well as serious participants in the game of horseshoes, will again have the opportunity to pitch at the Fair.
The Third Annual Horseshoe Tournament will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 5-6 at 6 p.m. in the Miller Lite Outdoor Entertainment Area.
Both tournaments will be double eliminations, with a maximum of 50 teams each evening. Aug. 5 will be ‘Bring Your Own Partner’ and on Aug. 6 partners will be drawn randomly. Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-prize winners.
