Indoor Water Park Hotel to be proposed in Vernon

VERNON — The citizens of Vernon Township are invited to an open house and presentation on the planned Indoor Water Park Hotel on July 16 at 7 p.m. at The Appalachian Hotel at Mountain Creek.

In the near future, Mountain Creek will be requesting Vernon Township to consider an ordinance that would allow for a PIiLOT Plan, a form of tax increment financing to support the Indoor Water Park project.

Thereafter Mountain Creek plans to seek a site plan approval for the project. While hearings on both of these items will be held at public hearings at the town hall, Mountain Creek would like to provide citizens an opportunity to speak with management one on one about this endeavor.

The purpose of the Town Hall meeting is for Mountain Creek to share their vision of the Indoor Water Park Hotel project, hear from the Vernon community and answer questions.
