Rides to Vets Summer Fest to Support Homeless Vets

| 09 Jul 2014 | 12:20

An organized motorcycle ride from Tramontin Harley Davidson to Vets Summerfest at Vasa Park in Budd Lake on Aug. 9 is just part of the fun and special events of the day.

Tramontin Harley Davidson is a big supporter of veterans and the Operation Chillout mission. They are a collection point for cases of water that is distributed to homeless vets over the summer months and help bring the bikers to Vets Summer Fest by organizing the ride and taking care of getting the info out to the bikers.

To join the ride from Tramontin HD, interested bikers can contact Nancy at Nancy@TramontinHD.com. Kickstands up at 10:30 a.m. Individuals or clubs wishing to attend but cannot make the organized ride, are very welcome to come on their own. Gates open at 10:30 am. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Seven bands, food, beer, cool vendors and much more to enjoy including a dedication ceremony with color guard, National Anthem, Missing Man ceremony, TAPS, and more.

The other ride that will take place at the festival is the Car Show. All car owners are invited to participate and prizes will be awarded to the various winners at the show. Gunnery Sergeant Mario Monaco will present the awards in full dress uniform. The cars will be on display all day at Vasa Park, and the awards will take place at 4:45 p.m. To register, contact Sandy@mitchellclan.com.
