    Dylan Bright, 19, of Newton was sentenced to three years of probation. He must serve 160 days in the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility, submit to a TASC evaluation, supply a DNA sample at his own expense, be subjected to urine monitoring and pay restitution to the victim.

    Bright admitted that on March 2, 2013, in Sussex Borough, he was under the influence after drinking alcohol and Mucinex. In his intoxicated state, the defendant entered a store and began punching and kicking the walls, windows and doors. The defendant then ran into the street in front of a car where he was eventually apprehended by police.

    June 6
    John Walsh of Highland Lakes was sentenced to three years in state prison and $1,205 in fines.

    He pleaded guilty on April 29 to the third-degree crime of possession of heroin.

    Following up on information received, Vernon Police found the defendant to be in possession of 96 bags of heroin.

    John Pace, 54, of Goshen, N.Y., was sentenced to 14 months in state prison and $155 in fines.

    He pleaded guilty on April 29 to the fourth-degree crime of criminal trespassing.

    On March 7, 2013, he entered a home in Wantage without permission of the owner. The matter was investigated by N.J. State Trooper O’Keefe.

    Douglas Umstead, 40, of Andover was sentenced tdo five years in New Jersey state prison, given credit for 380 days served in the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility, two years loss of his driver's license and pay fines and penalties.

    Umstead admitted that on May 22, 2013, in the township of Byram and the town of Hackettstown led police officers on a high-speed chase after having received a signal to stop.

    Austin May, 31, ofWantage was sentenced to two years of probation and $155 in fines.

    He pleaded guilty on April 14 to the fourth-degree crime of credit card theft.

    He was found to be in possession of his father’s credit card without permission.

    Leevan Lawrence, 33, of Englewood, pleaded guilty to burglary, a third-degree crime. Sentencing is scheduled for July 25.

    Lawrence admitted that he acted as an accomplice with two others in a residential burglary on Feb. 13, 2013, in the township of Sparta.

    June 9
    Shenoll Bizati, 28, of Oak Ridge, pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of prescription fraud.

    Sentencing is scheduled for July 25.

    He admitted to attempting to obtain Oxycodone from the Hamburg Rite Aid on March 5 by passing an altered prescription. The matter was investigated by Hamburg Detective George Gunderman.

    Connor J. MacDonald, 21, of Sparta pleaded guilty to the third-degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and a motor-vehicle ticket for failure to maintain lamps.

    Sentencing is scheduled for July 25.

    He admitted to possessing a small amount of heroin on April 14, 2013, during the course of a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police Officer Marc Rubino.

    Christopher Bootsma, 48, of Dover pleaded guilty to counts four and six of an indictment handed up May 15.

    Bootsma admitted to committing an act of sexual penetration against D.B. in 2005 when D.B. was 10 years old and he was 37 years old. He further admitted to video recording this act. This matter was investigated by the Andover Township Police Department and the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office with assistance from the Sussex County Sherriffs Department and New Jersey State Police Canine Units.

    The plea agreement calls for up to 20 years New Jersey state prison subject to 85 percent of this being served without parole. Sentencing is anticipated for Aug. 8.

    June 13
    Trent Decesare, 29, of Sussex Borough was sentenced to two years of probation on condition he undergo a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations and pay $1,125 in fees.

    He pleaded guilty on April 21 to third-degree possession of heroin.

    In April 2013, he was found to be in possession of heroin during a motor-vehicle stop in Vernon.

    June 18
    William Gonzalez, 37, of Wharton pleaded guilty to third-degree shoplifting.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 1.
