The Sussex Borough Council unanimously approved all of Mayor Jonathan Rose’s appointments to the Water Sewer Rate Structure Committee on June 17.

The motion passed unanimously, with Councilwoman Annette Stendor being absent.

The Committee of three yearly appointments will review EDU (Equivalent Dwelling Unit) calculations. EDU is equivalent to a single family house with a water meter.

The Committee will make recommendations to the Council regarding calculations of EDU.

Councilman Salvatore Lagattuta will be the head of the committee and Rose said there may be many questions at first.

The Council on May 6 voted to form a committee comprised of two members of the public and one council member to investigate and confirm EDU questions related to the new water and sewer rate changes.

The new rates were passed on June 4.
