    Hazel A. Johnson (nee Hunt) 97 years old, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at The Homestead in Frankford Twp., N.J. Born to Elmer and Alice Hunt in Hamburg, NJ, she was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, N.J.

    Mrs. Johnson worked as an assembler for Plastoid Corp and also worked at the family’s garden center, Haggerty’s, on Route 23 in Wantage Twp., N.J. She was a member of the Hamburg and Hardyston Senior Citizens and loved to garden and tend to her flowers at home.

    Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Johnson (1979), a brother, Lester Hunt and a sister, Nellie Hanson and was the devoted mother of Linda Haggerty and her husband, Wendall, of Wantage Twp., N.J., and Robert Johnson and his wife, Charlene, of Hamburg, N.J. Loving grandmother of Tina Jacobs, Scott Haggerty, Beth Crane, Alan Haggerty and Erin Kelmeris. Cherished by 10 great grandchildren.

    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J., on Sunday, June 15, 2014, from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
