Vernon resident named woman's organization president

    The New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs of GFWC, the largest volunteer women's service organization in the state, providing opportunities for education, leadership training, and community service, recently installed Jill Passaretti as the 54th President.

    A long time Vernon township resident, Passaretti will lead members in more than 200 women's clubs throughout New Jersey with the charge to Volunteer Work From the Heart. Under her leadership, NJSFWC will partner with the National Alliance on Mental Illness of New Jersey for the 2014-16 NJSFWC Special State Project. NAMI New Jersey is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.

    Passaretti has served in a number of district and state board positions before her election in 2012 as NJSFWC President-elect.

    She has been an active member of the GFWC Vernon Township Woman's Club since September 1987 serving twice as club president. She is a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians. Over the years, Jill has been active in her community including treasurer of her church, Girl Scout Leader and secretary for M.U.S.I.C. the choir parents group at the High School.

    Passaretti is employed by Tangoe, Inc. as a EDI analyst in Parsippany.
