Youth football league plans Zombie Run

VERNON — Vernon Youth Football and Cheer will have a Zombie Run on Oct. 25 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Maple Grange Park.

Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable canned good to benefit local food pantries and to receive a discount on admission, snacks and entertainment.

Participants will be supplied "life flags" and they will try to escape the zombies scattered throughout the park. Those who escape with their life flags will be rewarded.

The cost will be $5 with a can of non-persishable food and $6 without. There will be a $1 re-run.
