Marijuana school debuts in New Jersey — elixir to jump start economy?

It’s not easy to open — and keep open — a business. It’s especially not a simple walk in the park if your enterprise is focused on the medical marijuana industry. Yet the industry, as a whole, has experienced phenomenal growth in states promoting progressive enabling laws. But for New Jersey’s funded program, the last three years have yielded, in varying stages of development, three dispensaries, only one of which currently has its shingle out.

Make no mistake, the road to euphoric profits in New Jersey is far from being just a hazy, distant pipe dream. Economic growth is close at hand. While New Jersey sees the need to make it easier to open dispensaries by implementing ways to streamline their business qualification process, the renowned educators at the Cannabis Career Institute (CCI) are working to prepare and educate entrepreneurs on the right way to get their business permit and have the knowledge not only to be qualified to open on the first try, but keep their business flourishing ahead of the growing national competitive tide.

Educating business entrepreneurs is the guiding mantra and purpose of CCI. Having graduated thousands of students in five years, CCI clears the air and methodically teaches the proper art and science of growing, cultivation, delivery, cooking of marijuana, plus so much more. Students receive a full day of easy to understand training on the vital corollary business acumen required to dramatically aid their success, including facility management, accounting, budgeting, operations planning, legal, medical, marketing, branding and social media. The CCI will even show you how to use their tools to aid in job search and employer needs.

According to Robert Calkin, founder of CCI, the average dedicated and focused dispensary that grows and distributes medical marijuana can quickly earn up to $10,000 per day and an average master grower has the potential to make $250,000 a year.

CCI cares about the medical marijuana industry. While never aligning with any political party or otherwise espousing views of similar associations or groups, they do promote the need for providing proper medical marijuana education far and wide — offering a wide range of educational and training opportunities and resources.

Classes are generally well attended and received. Before preparing to head to New Jersey, their June 1 Las Vegas, Nevada class sold-out with people lining up in the hallway waiting to sign in — two days before Nevada even had a state medical marijuana dispensary law in effect.

The debut for our New Jersey school will be in Piscataway on Saturday, June 15, at the Embassy Suites of Piscataway-Somerset, 121 Centennial Avenue from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Each student may purchase the accompanying textbook and will have plenty of networking opportunities, meeting and talking with the foremost experts in the fields of dispensary management, growing, cultivation, strains, edibles, accounting, law, medical, marketing and much more. The price of the class is $249 and includes the ability to come back and take the class again at a later date at no additional charge. Discounts are available for students, the elderly and the handicapped.
