Summer Fun Program offers special pricing
VERNON — The Vernon PAL and Vernon Township Summer Fun Program is a coed program open to children who will be in grades one to seven as of September.
The Full Day summer camp will be held at Cedar Mountain School on Sammis Rd in Vernon. The program offers a variety of experiences that support social and physical growth, stimulates exploration, teaches responsibility, promotes teamwork and builds up self-esteem in a positive and fun environment. The program is run by certified teachers, an experienced adult in children s programs and college age camp counselors.
The seven week program runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday starting June 25 and ending Aug. 9 (No camp July 4). Cost for enrollment for all seven weeks is $1,000 which includes all trips. Enrollment must be paid by June 10 to qualify for this special pricing. Or you can choose weekly and pay $200 per week.
Participants should bring lunch with their names clearly labeled. Two T-shirts for anyone enrolled for all seven weeks will be offered. Sneakers must be worn always — no sandals or flip flops. Snacks provided and everyone receives a free T-shirt and water bottle.
Scheduled trips include: Laser One in Sussex, Castle Fun Center in Chester, N.Y., Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, The Funplex in east Hanover, High Point State Park, mini golf at Castle Cove in Jefferson, ice staking at Skylands Ice World, bowling at Pin Street Lanes in Warwick, N.Y., hiking on the Appalachian Trail and the Vernon PAL for sand volleyball, corn hole, 24 foot inflatable slide.
Before care at 8 a.m. for $20/week and after care until 6 p.m. for $20/week is available if five or more register for it. Extra Bonus: Before and after care $35/week (based on five registrations).
