Newton entertainment to heat up summer
NEWTON — The Newton Theatre announces the following shows coming this summer and in September, with tickets on sale now.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd
Tuesday, July 16 at 7:30 p.m.
Still barely in his 30s, the Louisiana born axeman and songsmith has been selling millions of albums and throwing singles into the Top 10. His music is a mix of the rich blues of the past with his own modern twist on a classic sound.
Tickets are $59 for premium seating, $54 for orchestra and $49 for balcony.
Johnny Winter
Friday, Sept. 13 at 8 p.m.
Johnny Winter offers a fresh take on classic blues with a combination of authentic Texas funk and his own high energy interpretation of the blues. Constantly shifting between primal country blues to electric slide guitar, Winter is a singer and guitar player whom creates a link between British blues rock and American Southern rock.
Tickets are $39 for premium seating, $34 for orchestra and $29 for balcony.
World Renowned Psychic Sylvia Browne
An Evening of Insights and Live Readings
Friday, Sept. 20at 8 p.m.
NY Times Bestselling Author Sylvia Browne is a world renowned psychic and spiritual teacher. Browne has appeared regularly on the Montel Williams Show and Larry King Live.
Tickets are $69 for premium seating, $59 for orchestra and $49 for balcony.
Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes
Saturday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m.
The band's horn-driven sound is rooted in R&B, Soul, Funk, Jazz and Blues. Frontman for the group, Johnny Lyon will sing two of the biggest hits from the Jukes’ repertoire of more than 30 albums — Havin’ a Party and I Don’t Want to Go Home.
