Health and Fitness Fair educates about good life choices

Sixth Degree Black Belt, Sensei Tom Shull, is shown leading students through a series "katas" or detailed choreographed forms that help the students develop the ability to use those techniques and movements in a natural, automatic, reflex-like manner. Shull's Vernon Valley Karate Academy is located on Theta Drive in Vernon and currently has nearly 200 students.

Jodi Bischoff, 18, a senior at Vernon Township High School answered questions about CPR and gave demonstrations to those who had questions. She plans to initially attend Rutgers and then pursue a career in medicine with the intention of becoming a medical doctor.
VERNON — Presented by the Vernon PAL Youth Leadership and the Vernon Township High School Advanced Physical Education Class, the annual Vernon PAL Health & Fitness Fair was held last Wednesday with demonstrations including CPR and karate.
There were many tables and displays offering information about various health issues and tips to assist residents in making good life style choices.
