Handbags & More Galore accessorizes Town Center

WANTAGE — The Town Center at Wantage just got a lot more fashionable.

Handbags & More Galore Outlet Center, which celebrated its grand opening on May 4, will stock “a good mixture of merchandise for teens up to grandma,” store owner Jim Dizenzo said.

With 25 years of experience in the wholesale business, Dizenzo and his wife, Annette, will use their knowledge to offer all of their products at great values, they said.

Shoppers can expect to find many styles of handbags, clutches, scarves, backpacks, laptop cases, wallets, belts and pet carriers in stock. For the men, the store offers a selection of wallets, ties and socks.

The “open shopping” concept of the store makes all 1,800 square feet of floor space visible and accessible at a glance.

“The store flows nice,” Dizenzo said. “It’s a nice open space.”

The store has more than 500 bags on display and new merchandise is expected weekly. The price on products ranges from about $5 for smaller accessories up to $100 for high-end, Italian leather handbags. Dizenzo said shoppers can expect to find prices comparable to or lower than those of competitors like Marshals and TJ Maxx.

Opening-day shopper Giovanna Villano, of Glenwood, found the store to be priced perfectly.

“This is just great,” she said. “It’s exactly what we need around here.”

For the grand opening celebration, the Dizenzo’s held an hourly raffle for a free scarf and gave away a free handbag hanger with every purchase over $25. While this particular promotion was a one-day deal, the Dizenzos will be running new promotions every weekend.
