WANTAGE — Students at the Clifton E. Lawrence School in Wantage participated in a Kindness and Justice Challenge and were encouraged to perform random acts of kindness both in and out of the classroom.
The first grade students extended this spirit of kindness into the community by conducting a food drive. The first grade classes collected more than 400 food items for the Sussex Help Center. The children sorted, graphed, and counted their collections by tens. This experience also showed the children the value in giving and helping others.
