VERNON — The students in Jannine Czifra’s fourth grade class from Cedar Mountain Primary School in Vernon Township participated along with Jennifer Harkey (manager from Lakeland Bank of Vernon) in the annual American Bankers Association Education Foundation National Teach Children to Save Day on April 16.
This program, developed by the ABA Education Foundation, was created to bring an understanding of the basic concepts of how to save money and why it is important. The lesson taught by Harkey focused on the importance of spending less money than you have, and the key role a budgeting plan plays in lifelong finances.
