Vernon Day set for June 8

VERNON — Vernon Day is planned for Sunday, June 8, at Maple Grange Community Park from noon until 5 p.m.

The event will feature bounce houses, animal demonstrations, a DJ and other events, along with shopping and treats for purchase. Visitors also will be able to meet a dog from The Sopranos, get their faces painted, bounce through an obstacle course and end the day with an Italian ice.

The day will start with a 5K race and 1-mile run at 9 a.m. The course is USA TF certified with microchip timing and free T-shirts for pre-registered runners.

Any vendors, civic or sports groups may download a vendor appolication form and sign up.
